The Thinking Football Film Festival is a film festival on life and football organised by the Athlet-ic Club Foundation with the collaboration of Sala BBK and sponsorship of Euskaltel. It is a festi-val about football, as all the films shown tell stories about footballers or teams or fans or sta-diums or championships. But, above all, it is a festival about life, as all these stories also tell us about human nature: passions and disappointments, successes and failures, remembering and forgetting, fear and hope. Football is a mirror of society and Thinking Football’s programming selects those works that best reflect social conflicts and intricacies, and which, at the same time, provide reflection and discussion that benefit common progress.
During the seventh edition, which was held between March 18 and 22, nine feature films will be screened from countries as diverse as the USA the UK, Iran, China, Sweden and Romania. Every session will be attended by directors or protagonists, who will also take part in a discussion after the screening.
Attendance at all sessions is free until capacity is reached and the audience will have the op-portunity to choose their favourite film by voting when they exit the hall. The film with the most votes at the end of the competition will be awarded the Thinking Football Film Festival Audience Award.
